This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

Artist's Description
A fishing boat getting as near as it can to the huge blue-and-white LeConte Glacier in Southeast Alaska. The boat represents the insignificance of man against the might of nature, but also of his perseverance and determination to control its destiny while facing the necessary hardship. The light on the mast of the ship is especially symbolic of hope and resourcefulness.
The picture was taken from an adjacent tour boat, in a day cruise to LeConte Glacier from the town of Wrangell, Alaska.
